Default Is there any benefit from aftermarket bumpers?

I'd like to know what the benefit is from installing an aftermarket front bumper. It seems that ever quad I see has one. Can anyone tell me the benefits other than just cosmetics? Thanks

I'd venture that most are lighter than stock bumpers as well....a few pounds here and there can add up to a nice amount.

Usually they are lighter and a lot stronger than stock bumpers...

They are straight when you bend the stocker.

Good for standing on to do stoppies with the quad not running.

i don't know about u guys, but if i bought a $80 chrome bumper, i wouldn't be planning on letting ne thing touch it. i'd rather get an ok, strong bumper and not worry about it getting scratched (i.e. i'm making my own)
