Snapping sound from new clutch spring?
#1
Hey guys, I took my stock Scrambler spring and put it in my V. I have noticed a distinct "snapping" sound when it engages and the bike begins to move. I was wondering if anyone else has noticed this with thier recent primary clutch spring upgrades? It still runs fine but the noise is a bit disconcerting.
After making the change, there was an improvement in the midrange but not as much as I had hoped, I wanted to be able to outrun my scrambler but alas, it still ain't happening. It looks like at a bare minimum it's going to take some intake mods and the dual exhaust on the V to even try to catch it.
I just got my 23" bearclaws for the rear of my Scrambler and I'll be switching those out over the weekend. Currently the 20" razr's on the scrammy give it good low end for a 2 stroke, but my fear is that with this taller tire, it may walk away even faster on the top end from my V.

Not sure what you snapping is but I was wonder,...are the Polaris springs and Kawi springs the same size round "O.D"?
As far as the snapping goes do you think something might be misaligned?
