when the yfz450 came out yam was saying it will beat anything on the market stock for stock drag racing to mx, and they where saying it loud so everyone could hear. honda sure is't saying that! you don't think honda hasn't already raced them aganist each other? you bet they have!

The Honda faithful.... take the blinders off dude. Until I see it I'll keep my opinions to myself so I don't appear to be a fool later. I will say that it is obvious that honda took some of the good stuff off the bike engine before putting it in the quad. I will make it my duty to chase down the first one I see at the coast and do some "testing".

 

i dunno if itll happen, but if the yfz450 can beat the cr450 i am gonna fall off my chair and laugh til i die...
and say to myself "once again honda to the rescue!"

 

Putting the CRF450 in a quad frame has been done, and it's been beat.... The latest greatest this and that doesn't always win at the track.

Afterall, who races a stock quad? Not even the Pro Production quads are stock.....

 

yeah well some of us dont have lots of money to waste away tricking out our atvs....

 

I want to do some "testing" against a YFZ that runs around here and see if they are what the hype is around them.

Then I'll lock in my vote for the R or the YFZ as my next purchase....but right now, the YFZ has it based on looks and what not. I think the R is crap ugly, and a YFZ would look great sitting next to my Raptor.

 

I agree with you. If the 450r was competitive with the YFZ, then Honda would be talkin' some ssh!t, not just saying the 450r can be competitive, theyd be saying it is the fastest most powerful quad ever, but its not, so theyre not saying it is.

 

it may proven that i don't know what i'm talking about, but even in the honda forum there saying there not inpressed. like i said befor you can bet honda has already raced them and if it was faster they would be saying it! it also comes down to who's riding them. i've seen a guy beat 400z's , 250r and raptors on a warrior.
