Default Anyone else swirl their head?

i had my head swirled on my 85 250r and was wondering if anyone had it done also and what they thought of it. If you look at the underside of the head it looks like flower pettals have been machined around the spark plug hole. this supposedly gives the engine a "vortec" like feature. since then i have been going through pistons and wonderd if you have expireinced the same it may just be i suck at breaking in pistons which wouldnt surprize me.

The last time I swirled my head was because I had way too much whiskey!

Oh, You mean the turbo swirl that one of the leading 'puppy' shops uses???

Hokkus Pokkus! and a waste of $$$$!!

Just my $.02

I heard of this a long time ago. I don't think it works. I have just reacently seen on another forum that a guy is doing similar work to blasters. He had a picture of it like some kind of advertisement. Anyway, I asked some questions about how it worked and why I thought it didn't and he gave me the "I've been doing this for bla-bla years, I know what I'm doing". (That logic probably works good on 12 year olds with Blasters.)

A couple things could be wrong with your head. First, it could simply have too much compression. Second, the squish could be too tight. The Blaster guy I mentioned had his swirl into the suish area. Maybe the high spots are too close to your piston and causing deto.

What do your pistons look like? Where are they damaged?
