Upgrade Tires for 03 Kodiak

HELP ME CHOOSE TIRES FOR KODIAK

Have 03 Kodiak 2WD. Wanting to change tires toMaxxis BigHorn Radials-25 x8-12 and 25 x 10-12. Ride trails- hard packed dirt, not much sand, traveling over roots, climbing hills, not much mud, but sometimes have to cross deep ruts along creeks. I need to upgrage my tires since I don't have 4WD. also looked at ITP, Mudlite, gator, any suggestions. not wanting something too heavy. The oem tires are Maxxis M911Y. I think the weight is only 13-15 lbs, not sure.
