need help with bog on low end!!
#1
I need help! When negotiating trails and slow areas I notice a pronounced bog when I hit an opening and punch it. This bog is only when the quad is in first gear and I have been going real slow. It doesn't happen when I start from a standing take off only from a very slow rolling start. Is ther a way to adjust my low speed jet? is it my float and or needle. If so how do I adjust those?

Cop I don't have answers, just questions.Have you done the carb slide spring mod, changed the air filter type (paper, foam, gauze),altered the intake track in any way?How about exhaust, any changes at all? Have you put on taller tires?I believe any of these changes COULD affect low RPM response.Usually when you mod an engine/machine it's not a free lunch. Also what RPM are we talking here? If it idles at 1300, I doubt you should expect it to pull clean at WOT from a 1000 RPM lug!

If its in the low RPM range that you are describing it could be that your air/fuel screw is set to rich or your pilot jet is rich. The needle effects the higher rpms and your main jet if i remember effects 1/4 throttle and up. Also, is your air filter nice and clean, have you changed spark plugs since you bought it??

are you still using complete stock exhaust? or do you have an endcap? if you don't i'd highly recommend it, i run 17t w/22", ya a lil bit tall gearin i love it, ya it does bog but once you get used to its awesome, i love it, i can easily walk it from 1-3rd in a wheelie, 4th can be done but difficult
