I know the magazines are always biased but this is crazy. I just read an article today about the Predator. Not only do all the mags say it whips the raptor (we know this is not true) one of the ATV Magazines today said the Predator would take the YZF 450 in the drags consistently. WTF is this. I mean, is Polaris paying mega bucks to say this stuff. They also quoted the Predator as having 43RWHP stock vs a jetted YZF w/ no lid having like 38rwhp.

 

What's said on paper isn't important to me..It's what you can do at the strip...

Yah, I know that I Just don't understand how they can put that in print and sell magazines. It was also funny in the contents page they said Predator 500 vs. YZF 560. Morons.

 

Which mag is this? Im curious..i know its not dirtwheels! They've never had a good thing to say about any polaris! Pred expecially! Did you not read the stupid shootout between the pred, Z440 & YFZ? the pictures are just amazing!

Now im not gonna get into an argument over this..but ask most of the rappy guys in the yami forum..they'll agree..stock for stock, the pred is quicker. The YFZ, i have no doubt its quicker, but top end the pred will have a higher MPH..a simple sprocket change would change that outcome, but that would also take some of the quickness away from the YFZ.

The pred has dyno'd low 40s stock. From what i've seen anyways..

 

I dunno bout stock cause my rappy isnt but ive beat 7 preds... 2 yfz's and 2 yfz's have beat me too... (same mods also)

 

Back in stock form I raced a few preds...won about 3 out of 5.....with my current mods, haven't been beat by a pred...

 

Well i've raced a few rappys tooo...I've only ever lost a short race if i fug up the launch..but even then i'll catch up and pass by 4th gear..

It doestn matter anyways..everyones won and lost..just have fun riding!

 

that's what I say..it's all about the fun for me..win or lose..I have fun either way...but we all know its more fun to WIN!.hehe

 

It was not dirtwheels, it was ATV something. Not sure if it was sport or the other ATV whatever. But If they predator looses some more weight it is going to start becoming really appealing.
