Default Bosch Oil Filter For Raptor

I did a search here on the boards and found that the Bosch 3300 Oil Filter fits the Raptor. Now the questions is where to find it? I called Autozone wehre everyone said they have found it and they don't have it. They say the Bosch 3300 crossreferences to a STP S6607??? Will this filter work with the Raptor? Any help please???

I use the Bosch 3300 and yes the STP 6607 will work ive used it too. Bosch is black and the STP is blue, price is a little different too. Autozone has them.

My Autozone has them both. I use the Bosch 3300 on my B/W Raptor and the STP 6607 on my Blue Raptor. The STP is about a 1/2" or more longer than the Bosch and the STP is almost half the price of the Bosch. Bosch is like $5 somthing the STP is $2.99 or somthing like that.

Not to scare anyone because I could be talking out my A$$. Has any one ever thought that the relese pressure spring in the filters is different than the Yammie filter? I've ran the STP also and it looks alot better plus its cheaper so I'm not biased but are we messing with our oil pressure? Just a Thought!

Thats a good thought. I beleieve it has been discussed before and determined to be adequate. Though can't verify. Both these filters do have a pressure release installed. As for what pressures they release at vs the yamaha I couldn't say. But, I beleieve it was discussed before.

Maybe not as far as you think. It might have been that the question was brought up if these oil filters had a bypass in them at all not what pressure they relieved at. It's a good question cause if they are getting plugged and not bypassing soon enough then there could be problems.

I'm wondering if any engine builder out there has ran oil pressure checks (at the Cam) With different filters. I have seen AC filters on Craycraft motors.
