Hey i was woundering what gearing are you guys running on your Raptors with 18in MX hole shots? I just started doing some mx racing like to get a set of 18in tires and 20in in the front.I was thinking of going with a 14/40 gearing right now i am running 20in tires with a 12/40 gearing. Let me know what you think Thanks.

 

I tried 14/40, 13/40, and 12/40 with the 18" Holeshot MX. With my mods, I like the 12/40 best because I can run most of the tracks around here in the middle of 3rd. 14/40 was geared too high for my tastes, I didn't have a good arm-stretching launch out of the corners.

 

if u wanna be around the same gearing run a 13/40... It will be pretty much the same as the 12/40 with 20inch tires... I couldn't ever imagine running a 12 with 18inch tires... i hate the 14/40 setup i have now with the 18's
