Default should i buy LT 250

Hey, i was wondering if an LT 250 would be a good first quad. I have a CR 125 rite now, i've ridden blasters and quadsport 230s, too slow. I'll proabably pick up an LT that needs some work for around $800, just wanting to know if it would make a good quad.

I bought one for my first quad in May 1991. Still have it. If that tells you anything.

Same here. I bought mine back in 91 w paddles for $800. Guy thought it was blown. Turned out to be a clogged carb. Oh well, his loss. I did the first top end on it only 2 years ago. They really are good quads

I beleive the quadracer is the best 250 2stroke out there for the money and parts availability. There are still quite a few aftermarket parts for them also.

Those are some nice pictures there Shady. ST. Anthonys looks like a great place to ride.

I totally agree with you bigugly. I have an '86LT250R I got years back and it has been bullet proof, I could swear it says Honda somewhere on the darn thing but it doesn't..lol. It could be my luck too I guess. I just love the old beasts. I race my brother and his Zilla and I can stay out in front of him but it's a b!tch when I'm on his tail cause the ROOST is so penetrating, even with a helmet on!!

later
