Default lakota sports are slow

I justed beat a lakota sport in a drag race by 20 quad lengths. I had him from the start to the finish. And he thought that my blaster was a pos. I set him straight.

I know how that is. My friend has one that he claims to have put a pipe, filter, and jet kit on, and he says he has taken stock Raptors and modded 400ex's. Now I can't see how a Lakota could keep up with one without being bored out and on nitrous but whatever.

Of course theyre not fast. theyre heavy and have a utility quad engine(bayou 300). What was you expecting. A lokota just looks like a sport quad. Personally i dont consider them a sport quad. Your a little outa his league.

of course you'll beat one,a manual 2 stroke against a auto-clutch 4 stroke.A blaster will beat any stock lakota in a drag, but stock for stock on top end the blaster is only a few mph faster. The lakota's aren't race bikes unless you do a whole lot of work to them, there made for the trails and there one of the best out there for trails and mud for a sport quad.

C'mon, a lakota vs. a blaster. That's like a vette vs. a bicycle. The lakota has its purpose and racing is not one of them, unless you hop it up. Awesome quad otherwise. Had mine for 3 years and it just will not break. Now tell me that your blaster beat a vette. Than i will be impressed!

Don't get me wrong, Blasters are great machines,
but I love my Kota, when it comes to simple trail riding, the kota is one of the best.
I have simple mods, but it really wakes this machine up, especially the air filter, man you get alot of performance....now when my kota was stock, I raced my friend with a blaster down a road, (smooth straight bout 2 miles) and this was all top speed, and yes the blaster was infront of my by about 3 lengths, so i'll say he was about 3 or 4 miles an hour faster than me, with my mods now, I will take him at top speed, even beat him in a short drag if i drop the clutch, for a good holeshot....I can even wheelie my kota in 1-3rd gear but i cant come close to the blaster, man that wheelies sooo easy, but in the long run, id take my kota

I've got a yosh equiped KFX400, my wife rides a Lakota sport and my buddy has a blaster......

Yeah, my wifes Lakota isn't a drag racer, and that's for sure.......but it's one tough, reliable and easy to ride quad......bottom line.....

I wouldn't trade it!......
