need a fast 250 trailblazer
#1
i have recently gotten back into atv riding after about a 6 year layoff. I got a 2003 250 trailblazer and i want it to be fast. my goal is to have it ready to race a gncc race next year in the first year racer division. i have looked at hot seat performance, hpd, and aaen but didn't know if there were anymore producers of performance parts. i want it to basically make it a full on woods racer but have no real idea where to start. if you could help to as which company is best and what i would need i would greatly appreciate the help thank you.

I would go between the HPD Race Mod or HPD reed conversion. Or also the Aaen stage 5 kit. AZ Bad Boys also have a reed conversion. You are going to want to skid plate protection too. Also, a chain tensioner is a good idea. Some new Hot seat springs and Works or Fox struts and a Fox rear shock. Some Renthal handelbars. Some aluminum beadlock rims and good 6-ply tires. A steering damper. The list goes on

I agree with BigBadScrambler! I have HPD's reed conversion and it
rips. The only thing that I have left to upgrade is the suspension and
I want to try the Comet clutch. Its supposed to add about 25% more
power!

thanks for all the help. hpd and aaen seem to be the best so far as to having the most available power. i take it that i will have to run race fuel with it which is fine but will the power come on higher in the powerband and will i be able to keep the bottom end which will as you know will be important for hills and certain woods sections. thanks again for pointing me in the right direction.

If you do what I did and have your flywheel race lightened, you will
lose your electric start and starter, then you will have plenty of low-
end power. The only lag that I have is from the primary spring to
engage. Its a perfect race set-up but could be a little tricky if you
were at a dead stop on a steep hill. I use a premix of 40 to 1, amsoil
and C-12.

I dont have to run race fuel with my setup but no less than 94 octane. It would run better with higher octane but not needed in my case. As much riding that I do the race fuel would get way to expensive.
