what would make my traiblazer pop wheelies, and beat blasters and keep up with warriors the best? and which tire would be best for all around off road ridding, bear claws, mud lites, dirt devils, holeshots, or razrs or some combo of them? i am tired of being smoked by blasters.

My friend has a slightly moded Blaster and I too got beat all the time by him. I then went with an HPD trail pipe, agressive clutch kit,34mm carb and k&n filter and was easily able to beat blasters but not warriors. I then got it ported, bored and head milled. It easily beat warriors. It was able to keep up with a 400 but now I changed to all AAEN parts and can smoke stock 400's. The AAEN stage 5 kit will produce 42hp. 3 hp more than stock 400. The HPD race mod is 38hp. HPD is a very good product but I got bored and wanted to try something new. A guy from AAEN pretty much guarrantied that his stage 5 kit will beat a 400 and beat the HPD non reed conversion race mod. I am just as fast mas the HPD reed converted race mod but not as responsive. I have a new carb coming to take care of that. It all depends on how much money you want to put in. The HPD race mod is $800, Reed converted race mod $1400, AAEN stage 5 about $800-$900, RCR stage 1 kit $325. There is sooo much you can do to the 250 to make them very fast. Blasters and warriors are no problem to beat. You would be running with the big boys.

I have the HPD reed conversion kit on a 99 TB 250.
I have the XCT holeshot tires. Good on dirt, grass or
gravel but not so good in mud and bad in snow.
Yes $1400 is alot but you do have just that little bit
more tune ability with the reeds. Race gas is a draw
back though. Its only a 5 mile drive to the nearest
station for me and C-12 cost $6.20 a gallon here in
Ohio. But I'm an old guy and can only us up 2 gallons
before I get tired.
