Default SP 500 EBS Slippen Going down hills????

Hello All,

I have an 03 SP500. I do a lot of Hill riding here in TN on a farm I lease. Lately going down Steep hills I've noticed my EBS system giving out. The EBS system will be working fine going down a steep hill and all of a sudden it will give out and I'll start rolling down the hill fast & have to slam on the brakes. Has this happen to anyone??? It just seems to do it on very steep hills. Before I've climbed down the same hill it's never done that. It just started acting up last weekend. Any ideas, I think my manufacturer warranty is up or I would take it in to Polaris. Going to check on that tomorrow. Thanx in advance. Happy riding.

I have never experienced that before but my guess is your belt needs replacing. As you are using your EBS lots, I'll bet the ribs on the inside of your belt are worn down. Thus when under heavy load the belt slips.

I replaced the belt like 3 weeks ago. I drive in low when going up and down those hills. Could it be my clutch slipping maybe. Somebody has had to have this happen before.

The next thing to check would be the belt tension because if too loose the EBS could slip.
