how to tell what this 80cc is?

Default how to tell what this 80cc is?

i just picked up a 80cc quad for my 4 year old it is kinda rough it has electric start and 4sp tranny and shaft driven i think its about an 1986 but would like to know what it is so i know what i have thanx forgot to say is yamaha but dont know the model

sounds like a old moto4, if its a yamaha hope it helps

Yeah its a moto-4 Yamaha I had one of those back then. Honda had 70cc quad 4-speed, Suzuki had the LT80 auto tranny. The moto-4 came in blue or red.

thanx anyone have an old pic of one i think this around 1986 and it is blue

is there a way to tell what year it is through the serial #

yes, if you take the ser.# to a yamaha dealer they should be able to look it up
