boring question
#1
Well, im going to take my quad in to a machine shop in a few days and going to get it bored, and after that i plan on getting a high compression piston, than a cam but i want to make sure on a couple things the 300ex comes stock 282cc, so if i bore it to a 330, i will need a new piston matter what, right?(not standard bore), so i was looking on like rockymountainatv.com and im wondering what bore size of a piston i would use.
Thanks

If you are boring due to damage, the shop should make the assessment of what oversize it will take to clean up the bore. If you are boring simply to have a larger bore, it does not matter what piston size you select. You cannot, however, bore to 330cc's. That upgrade requires re-sleeving--check out
