Congratulations on your order,but...I wonder if you will be disappointed when Yamaha/Cannondale show there stuff with their awesome atvs. As of yet both atvs are just waiting in a crate somewhere anticipating the carnage that they're going to create in the atv world. Stats are showing that they will just plain take over where the 400ex left off...!!! Just my opinion...!!!
P.S. In my opinion the DS 650 is the man to beat for now.. and that may change really fast...!!

juvenile,

You guys are forgetting one thing.... As much as I love power, the DS650 and new Yamaha (probably) are much larger than the EX and in many conditions that will make them much slower than the EX.

So it depends on the intended use of the bike, if you're going to be sand duning, one of the big bores would probably be the way to go -- if you are going to be trail riding, harescrambling, and/or possibly even MX'ing, the EX may still be the way to go. We'll just have to wait and get the real spec's from Yamaha to be sure, but I'm fairly confident that it will be closer to DS 650 size than 400EX size... Heck the new Yamaha may not handle worth a crap either, Yamaha has had trouble with that in the past.
