I need some help here. I went riding at Rocky Creek Poker run this weekend (although they should call it Sandy Lake Poker run) and i went through this lake that had nothing but sand in it. After my 300ex dried off the back right tires doesnt pull as much as the left and there is an awful grinding sound coming from there. Is it my bearings or what? It sucks b/c now it is like 10 times slower than it should be and of course that awful sound. Someone please help!!!!

Sounds like you striped a hub.

OK if I stripped a hub how would i go about fixing that? Besides selling my soul to the Honda shop and having them fix it?

Depends on if it's the axle splines that are stripped or the hub splines (or both). If it's the axle, better save up about 300-400 bucks for a new one. If it's the hub, buy a new hub for probly about 20-30 bucks. You can check it by just taking the lock pin and the nut off the center of the hub on that rear wheel, and pull it off the axle, and you'll be able to see right away if the splines are stripped.

OK I took off the hub and the spindles were fine except a bunch of crud on them. I cleaned em off and put it back on.(by the way my hub is stuck to my wheel) It stopped the grinding noise but i noticed now that when i turn left the rear right tire is shaking BAD and i still dont have the power i used to. Its like im pulling something. I also have a squeak coming from back there too but i can live with that. If anyone can help let me know ...b/c if not im ripping the thing apart and putting it back togather(if i can)

same thing happened to my 300 it blew the bearing and started losing power(cuz the axle was moving in the carrier) and it was grinding really bad. and sqeaking every once and a while. and i didnt change it, and it broke the axle carrier in 3 places. if ur lucky the bearings are $20 bux a piece if u broke the carrier it $280 for the carrier and i needed my axle machined some because i took some big chunx out of the axle, that was $75 i did all the work myself though
its not that hard, but parts are expensive.
good luck!
