artic cat 300 4x4

It would be a good quad, but I would step up the the 400 if your going to be using it for farm work and such, and the 400 will always be solid for when you get a lot of experience, you might get to wanting a bigger and more powerful quad later on with the 300. Ride them both and see what you think.

I would say the 300 would be great. We unfortunatly have a 300 honda on the farm i work on(would much rather have a cat) and it has all the power we need on a 400 plus cow dairy farm. The 300 is better suited for herding cattle and stuff with it being smaller and able to be driven into tighter spaces. I myself have a Arctic Cat 500i which handles beautifuly for chasing the cows, but in the event that they get out of the pen and end up in the woods where there is no trail, a 300 is much easier to manuever thru trees.

My uncle just recently traded his 300 cat for a 400 auto cat. His 300 was a very good atv, it drove smooth and the fuel economie was incredible. Being a 300 it did not have alot of neck braking power but had a 50mph top speed. Over all he was very happy with his 300 and the only reason he sold it was he wanted an auto like the rest of us.
