A friend of mine is interested in buying a new sport quad. Please ignore the whole Suzuki vs Yamaha thing, and give me an honest opinion. I personally have likes from just about all the main manufacturers. What do you guys think about handling, speed-lowend and topend and jumping. Anything else? Thanks guys!!

 

Well the banshee has quiker acceleration and top end but the z400 has more lowend power . Plus it would proble climb hills alot better but doesn't handle as well so i say go with the banshee for racing but i you want something to trail ride with then go with the z400

the Z is a good dune bike with a MUCH better stock suspension than the banshee. I would say get the shee if you want to race or hill climb but the Z for everything else. Thing is, there's usually a lot of big whoops at the bottom of big hills so you might be able to go faster over those with the Z but once you're past them and you get on the throttle the shee will fly up almost anything

 

I own both right now. They have the same mods(pipe and air filter) I like riding my Z a lot better most of the time. side by side the banshee is a little faster through 4th gear, not much at all. After that it really pulls away. The Z is a lot better all around to ride, even on dunes. The banshee is better for top speed, and drag racing(just because its faster).

I would go with the a new YFZ or TRX 450, if not I would choose the Z. A stock YFZ is a LOT faster than my piped Z.
