Rubicon Deliveries?
#1
Has anyone heard anything new about when Rubicons will reach dealers? I gave my local dealer a deposit in early May and should get the first one delivered to them. At the time I gave them the deposit they expected two about June 1. No sign of them yet. The dealer thinks Honda is holding onto them until they have enough to send one to every dealer at once. They tell me they get notification of "release" date from Honda a few days before the units arrive and they've not yet gotten notice of "release" for the Rubicons.

I heard Sunday from a reliable source that they were to be shipped at the end of last week or are to be shipped this week. They are already in the warehouses. As far as when the dealers will receive them is as much your guess as mine.

I think your info is good. My dealer checked with his rep last week and got the same story. Every dealer is going to get one to start with. Next week will probably be the earliest. As of last week, the rep said the regional distribution centers (my dealer gets his out of Chicago) had not received the Rubicon yet....but were expecting them any day. The rumors about some dealer(s) having sold 3 or 4 already is probably just that.

My source told me that Honda was trying to work it so that all dealers would get their shipment at about the same time. He did say that the Rubicons are at the warehouses. He also said that the only color made so far is red.

Tim1. I know that there has been a total blackout of the South Carolina plant during the production of the Rubicon. Honda allowed no tours through the plant. The one I bought is paid for in full,so I hope it is a good machine. If it has Honda's quality and reliability it will be good. Don't try to start something before the first person even gets his/hers.
