Which one would win in a drag race??

depends on who's riding,with a good rider on either it can go either way.

 

dirtwheels latest mag did this test, and the yfz beat it by about 4 quad lengths, the z440 was about 2 quad lengths back, they said that the pred took off slower but its larger engine started pulling, the yfz has fastest acceleration, but the z440 started catching up to it in the end.

 

I think that test is a little unfair. The Suzuki was modded while the YFZ was stock. And the YFZ still won. I didn't think the Pred would have lost that bad.

 

the yfz seems like a better bike in my opinion.

In one of the recent magazines the Pred accelerated faster. The magazine looked for any which they could for the YFZ to win, but the Pred. would beat it. That's the ONLY place it would be it though.[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif[/img]

 

Umm, the yfz had a pipe, maybe something else too, something that got it too be worth 7600. So it wasnt stock yfz vs. modded z440, it was relatively even, so that it wasnt unfair.

 

I recently got a YFZ; its my second week and ridden twice. I had a '88 TRX 250R MX ready, including ELKA no preload suspension. Let me tell you that on the straights, the YFZ is much faster then the "R" and very close in handling. My point is for it being directly from the show room, it is pretty damn good. I bought my quad because of personal preferences, but must of the other quads are good too. I was going to wait for the Honda trx450r, but the yamaha has electric and kick start options. My understanding of kickstarting those 450's is that they put you to shame. Thats my opinion.
