Ok I have been on here asking some questions lately about the ds650s. well I finaly got one. :-) its a 2000 yellow ds650. with very low hours on it.. its completely stock and I am looking to change that. is it possable to put a tach on this like the bajas have??? if so is there a place where I can find instructions on how to do this.. and I also was wanting to put the ignition box on it that raises the rev limiter.. where is a good place to find this for pretty cheap... thanks

 

You should check out on dunes.com (w/ out the space). I think they have what youre looking for.

BTW.. while youre there check out the big gun cdi. It just came out and i dont think youll find a cheaper price for one unless you find a used one.

Why cant you type ON DUNES without the space?

 

www.parkeryamaha.com has the tach for $187.50. On dunes is the best place for the rev limiter.

 

tvi has the tach for 180 and it wires in real easy i think there are two types and one isn't so easy to wire in. well good luck on the new ride, looks like you are looking for nice up grades.

the one from the dealer is very very easy to set up, the hardest part is cutting the whole in the dash, after that you hook up three wires that already have connectors on them ready

 

I believe the tach is a "plug in". It's the cdi that's different from the Baja.. I think.
