Default Differences between 1999 & 2001 Sportsman 500 H.O.

I am possibly looking into purchasing a 1999 Sportsman 500 H.O. I was just curious as to what differences there might be between a '99 and an '01. Any information would be great. Thanks in advance for any replies.

The 99 was not a HO, and there were many upgrades to the 01 models over the 00 and older models.

The 99 was not an HO, the 01 was the first year of the HO model ..... about 30% more Horse Power, also ..... steel braided brake lines, better seal on the belt cover, .... seems like there were other stuff they told me about when i bought my 01 HO .....

Also improved steering ratio, for less handlebar effort, better tie rod ends, better brake pads, gas shocks, and a few more other things I forget.
