Default ATV trailer how big should I get?

I am going to need to buy a new trailer and was wondering how big should I get. I don't won't a monster just something big enough to hold a Yamaha Wolverine, Honda 400 EX, and a KTM motorcycle. Also, would you pay for an aluminum over steel. Do you think a 6x10 would be big enough? I can get a super nice 6x10 aluminum for around $850.

Figure on about the size of a piece of plywood for each ATV (4'X8'). My trailers (one enclosed and one not) each have 16' of storage space, and I can get 3 full size bikes on along with the two 90's (placed side by side). Width is all important, because it gives you room to juggle the bikes around (especially if the trailer is enclosed). I don't think 6' is wide enough, even if the trailer is a side loader!

I would go 10'X8' minimum for what you are carrying. 12'X8' if you want to carry camping gear, etc. on the trailer.

I have a 6'x10' and it works pretty good for me. I have a 250r and my wife rides a trailblazer 400. I put my R in sideways up front and then just drive the 400 on. It's kinda hard to load the R in sideways because I haven't built a side ramp yet, but if I did it would be a snap. There is plenty of room for a full size bike or even a little kid quad beside the 400 too. It would be nice to have a bigger trailor, but I had to get what the budget would allow. The alluminium trailer sounds great, the less weight the better.

If it is side loading, you should be fine. It gives you 4' foot for each quad plus 2' for the bike. Personally, I would load the bike in the middle of the two quads. This will give you more options for tying it up.

If it isn't a side loader then I would look elsewhere. Checkout www.loadrite.com an idea of trailer weights, etc. There ATV trailers are galvanized steel but still lightweight since they are not built like heavy duty utility trailers.

Wolv,
Have a enclosed 6x12 trailer. I can + have hauled 2 full sized quads w/ extended swingarms w/ KTM 2wheeler on the side wedged against wall. NO problems but alittle tight. Dont think you could do this if it is open trailer. Hope this helps.

I have a 7x8 Rance Renegade and I love it! All aluminum, side loading, back loading, plenty of places to hook too and the ramp stores under the trailer. At times I pull that sucker at 90 MPH and it trails great! I get a Rincon and Rancher AT on it fine(side by side). If I had room in my garage (depth) I would of bought a 7x12. Rance is the best in the Business for ATV use... Check out the link.. Oh I almost forgot it cost me $995 with a spare tire and Wheel Jack... The 7x12 is about $300 more...

Rance 7x8 open trailer...

I have a 6.5' x 12' trailer and it will hold 3 quads or two quads and a tub trailer easy. Deck sits low and the wheels are beside it. I can load from the side at the front and the rear but around the middle trailer or quad must be juggled into place.
