im looking to buy another 400ex, i know someone that has one that he wants to sell or $950, it needs plastics (which i have), third gear, some new handlebars and some maching rims and tires, it runs perfect except it has to be hot wired, and it has a title, should i buy it?

 

for 950? hell yeah! put a couple hundred into it and you would have yourself a really nice quad. might as well right! good luck

 

dude, i got a 00 400EX with pipe, nerf bars, UNI air filter, paddle tires, and razrs in front for 3500 bucks. if i had $950 i would buy the 400EX that u r talkin about jus cuz u'll never see a deal like that again. get the quad before it's too late.

 

buy it for sure, you can always sell it later for more if you don't like it

 

$950 bucks thats a terrible price for a 400ex. You should be able to pick one up for half that price. Who ever is trying to sell you a 400ex for that is insane! I wouldnt buy it if I was you. I'd buy it if you have the money to fix it up.

 

Needs 3rd gear? Their is a possibility the engine could possibly be lunched.

 

if you have the money to buy and fix i would get it, otherwise i wouldnt buy it and let it sit while you save to get parts and such...
if that is all thats wrong with it, then you are getting a steal.
