400 air box mods???

As long as your not going through water that goes up to the tank, then cut a bit of the neck off of the rubber top piece. You can open the area there almost 100% by cutting a little. Inside the airbox the air is forced around the sides of the box. Take a large holesaw and cut 2 to 3 holes in the front side of the box. Also cut out the area where the air enters in to a large oval spot instead of 2 holes and remove the 2 small factory rubber grommets. That will improve flow a lot and keep all the factory usage of it. I run either a Uni filter, or a K&N with a pre filter. Bubba

I removed the front wall where you have the two air inlets and then removed the side walls. Really helps out. If you want to go trail riding and are afraid of the water then just put the stock snorkel back on.
