Does anyone use their 03 Kodiak 400 4x4 for plowing snow? Due to the fact the machine does not have a low range and is an auto tranny, I am a little concerned. Will the lack of low range induce too much stress on the motor? How will it work compared to my old 93 Kawy Bayou 300 4x4?

 

I have an 03 kodiak SE, it comes with high and low gear so it works great.

 

I have a 2004 Kodiak 450 and am looking into getting a plow for it this winter. From what I hear, you won't have a problem plowing w/ the auto trans and no low gear. I'm getting the 60" Moose County Plow. Good luck and keep me posted.
