honda 250ex?

First of all, I understand this is your first quad, so this info is based on what I believe you need to know:

Honda 250ex-$3500- HONDA'S/4-stroke reliability...that is the biggest reason to look into this quad, plus if u dont want to learn on a clutch, then this would be a good choice

Suzuki Z250-$3900- Nearly identicle to the 250ex...virtually no difference, however it does cost more. It may not have as much reliability as the Honda because the frame is not quite as beefy and it isnt a Honda!

Yamaha Blaster 200-$3200- This is a two-stroke so it will have to be maintained A LOT more. THis will probably be a bit more nimble, but wont have the low end of the four-strokes. This quad also has a manual clutch and is a bit faster than the Zuki and Honda.

IMO the best quad for you is the 250ex because I wouldn't suggest a 2-stroke for a first quad and the Z250 is more money for the same quad.

If you will be doing a lot of woods & trail riding go with the 250ex however if you are riding on dirt roads, sand or open terrain go with the Blaster!

 

See ima be goin to da spill way (lousiana cse dats where i live) and i dont wanna be the slowest one out there... i wanna be able to compete wit the other people out there!!! wat would be a good ATV for me if i got one used (any atv)

 

If you are new and looking for a fast quad I would suggest the blaster despite my favoring of four-strokes. This will also help you with future sport quads becuase you will learn how to use a clutch. I could be saying to go out and buy a 400ex, banshee, raptor, Z-400, etc. but u dont need something that big to go kill yourself on! Please make sure you don't go buying a larger quad that you find a good deal on because a Blaster is plenty for you for now. Good luck with whatever you choose!

Yes, the Blaster will do just as good as the Honda and Zuki at jumping and tricks, probably better because it is lighter and 7.1 inches of travel up front and on the back compared to the 250ex's short 5.9 inches up front and 5.7 in the back and the Z250's 6.1 front and back.
