new polaris 800????
#2
Ever known a polaris NOT to be heavy? I still dont understand the weight issue, Polaris says they use beefier parts, larger parts etc.. They still break the same parts as the others due, so whats the bonus?

To be honest, if they made an 800, it probably would not weigh much more... almost the same infact. Just a slightly bigger bore and stroke and that should amount to almost nothing. I am sure it will go in the same Sportsman frame, so it should not be much heavier. The weight is both good and bad... good when you are pulling, plowing, and need more traction. Bad when it falls on you, bad when all you do is play around on trails at speed, or get in a hairy technical trail. I will take the good with the bad. Since I don't jump mine 4 feet in the air, the weight is a welcomed thing. Now, if these were sport quads, well weight would suck.

i will not weight more cauze actually the 700 sportsman is a debored version of the 783cc engine,a 800 would be the WHOLE engine at full bore
at 783cc,even it should be lighter if they put the fuel injection system this motor came first, just the weight of a bigger cylinder and piston shouln't make a big differences on the whole quad then...
