What can I use to clean my quad?
#1
Hey everyone
My quad doesn't seem to come clean...even if I scrub it, it still doesn't clean. Is there any kind of special wax or anything that I can clean it with? I wanna make this thing shine really nice...but I doesn't seem to want to. And I took some graphics off and it left adhesive...nail polish remover take that off?
Thanks in advance guys

I had this issue the other day with my brand new white YFZ. I rode for a double hours in dry *** red clay conditions and got it all ground into the sides of the quad. I tried scrubbing with soap. No good. itried Soft scrub. No good. Liquid Comet. BS. Then I tried regular powder Comet. It took the dirt right out of the plastic with no ill effects. The YFZ looks perfect.

Spray the quad down with a water reduced mix of Simple Green (local Fleet Farm sells Jungle Jake..same stuff). Let it sit for just a bit. Get yourself a $79 pressure washer from Menard's...or some place similar. Keeping in mind where you're blasting (don't do the chain, airbox, or radiator fins at close range). Blow dry with compressed air...again using common sense. Wipe down with 3M Marine Vinyl protectant spray (Walmart), then let it sit for around 15-20 minutes. Protectant flows out, and one like new looking quad. Quick and simple...no rocket science needed.

I do pretty much the same. Simple Green/pressure washer, but I use Plextor after I'm done.

you don't NEED it, but they are nice. Makes getting the mud off easy!

water hose works pretty damn fine when you have simple green, with excessive mud, spray off the most of the mud, hose down with simle green, let sit 15 min, spray off, dont have to scrub, and its real nice.
