Has anyone ever bought anything through a online classified ad? I have a 85 atc 250r and I need a new motor,the case is cracked. I posted a want ad and had several responses, but I am a bit wary of sending money to someone across the country for a motor I never seen. Has anyone ever had any bad experiences, and how did you do the money transaction, I am sure the guy selling the motor won't want to send it to me before I send a check.
Any input would help, I really want to get bike back on the trail, I miss the 2 stroke beast.

 

There are several online services that will hold your money until you are satisfied before they release it. I've used "Paypal" on ebay, but there are others. I can't recall their names or websites, but if it were me, I'd do a search for
escrow services.
