Hey you all, I live here in S.E. Oklahoma. A dealer near me quoted me a price of $6099(plus prep) for an 04 YFZ450. Sound to good to be true? almost so, but I am going to call him on it tuesday. (the way I see it, if he quoted me a price, (even after I asked him, Aren't the 6899?) of 6099. then that is what he has to sell it to me for right? Anyone else want one?

 

Thats a steal at that price.

 

ask him what the out the door price is. i bet you'll be surprised. i had a dealer here in ohio tell me he would sell m a yfz for $5699. i thought **** i'll buy 2 but after he added $650 frieght, $400 for prep, $500 for handling, & a $500 charge for something else (i still haven't figured this one out yet) it came out to more than most other dealers charge. so be careful on what you agree on. those hidden charges add up fast. definitly ask before you sign papers.

I've bought also a YFZ450, in Portugal and would like to know which pipe is the best one to this ATV.

Well I have an YFZ 450 up close and the stock head pipe on the quad is very good. I think only adding a slip on would do the trick, re-jet the carb, aftermarket air filter.
Just look and see at MBRP stainless steel slip on. You will love the sound of it.

 

I'm planning on the Pro Circuit Ti-4 for my YFZ... Pro Circuit is always at or near the top in nearly every pipe review. I don't think any magazine has done any reviews for the YFZ yet... still need time for manufacturers to catch up to demand. DB levels and USFS approved spark arrestor are issues for me so Pro Circuit is tops in my book. I'm sure there are companies like LRD and Sparks that make great performance pipes but most likely are louder than hell and who knows about the spark arrestor.

 

I dont want a super loud pipe either.

 

If you want the best pipe for the YFZ you better wait a little while for the Rossier pipe. Rossier knows their $hit with the CRF and YZF engines!! They have been putting a lot of work into their YFZ exhaust too! My friend has a new YFZ450 and races MX. He knows the people at Rossier good too, and he has the Rossier prototype exhaust on his YFZ to try. He says this exhaust is gonna come out on top of the rest because they really did their homework on making it right... Take this info for what it's worth but only time will prove what's best.
