Default Cranking up the Speed. RAPTOR!

Hi all, Im wanting to Crank up the speed on my raptor, Yes its Bone Stock. I can beat most 4 strokes except the YFZ and a big dirtbike. I can beat my dads Piped jetted and K&N rap easily and ds650 is a close call. But i want it to be faster. Drag racing is mostly what i do if i go anywhere and i jump occasionaly. Its a 01, I would also like to Lower it because Its hard for me to get the Holeshot when the front wheels are up and i have to let off the throtle. I was thinking about NX Nitrous kit but i have no clue about how to use Nos I dont want to blow my motor lol! Everybody knows Christmas is coming Give me some ideas for my Wishlist!!! haha

Thanks everybodY
Travis

Start off w/ a good intake and exhaust system. Get the pro-design filter adapter w/ a k&n or foam filter. Exhaust: MBRP Stainless, Yoshimura (if you don't plan on internal mods), the ct disc system, sparks or alot of people run the gytr slip-on w/ the stock header. I'm sure some raptor guru's will chime in and give you sooo many modding options it'll make your head spin.

Set it up as a high compression 686, ported, cam, and carbs. Add a +4.5 swingarm extension and for only $2K ish you'll have a killer machine. If you need to go cheaper you'd be suprised what the swingarm extension alone will do for drag races. You can hit it alot harder when you dont have to worry about the front end coming up and it's relatively cheap.

Do a search on these forums on exhuasts for your Raptor and get an exhaust pipe and jet it, you wil notice a huge difference.
