I will get there late Friday night. CAN'T WAIT for my first dune trip of the season. Who is going??

 

The first trip of the season was a blast!! Had fun in the dunes, Olds hill, China Wall, The Drags, and cooled off in the canal a few times because it was hot as hell out there.

MichaelAZ's Bansee was FAST at the hill and his gas powerd blender mixed up the margaritas all day at the drags after a fun day of riding and racing.

His Banshee was so fast that his son reached the top of China wall a little faster than expected and broke his arm after launching off the lip at the top on our last ride of the weekend. big bummer [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-sad.gif[/img]

There were alot of built Raptors and Banshees but Speeddemons Banshee dominated Olds hill. And I couldn't beat his freak Honda EX [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-sad.gif[/img] which was fast as hell!!!!!!. But I was happy with the new Sand Stars and I am going to work on my jetting and gearing a little more for the rematch next time [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif[/img]

My first trip was a couple of weekends ago (parked by the traintracks) It was so hot that we could only ride till like noon the next day. Olds was very slow, I was wondering where all the quads were. A few turbo rails were jumping near olds and that made for a nice show. JUst curious, what kind of setup is Speedemon running? I hear about his quad all the time-whats the big deal? If that honda EX your talking about was red with full suspension then I saw him at olds at like 1 in the morning handing out beatdowns. It was probally an xr600 on alky, nitrous?

How do you like the Sand Stars compared to Sand Skates?

 

Speeddmns 400 ex is exacttly set up like any other 400 ex except for the fact that you most likely will get a extra helping of beatdown piled on your plate. Next time you pull aside that 400 ex looking for a early test and tune victory you may be suprised what is inside that innocent looking 400 ex [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img] No, speeddmn wasnt at the hill at 1 am , he likes everyone to witness the beat downs in full daylight.

Yes the sanddrags were off da hook saturday afternoon!!!!! The place was hopping with the biggest preseason crownd I have ever seen at Glamis, it was hot as he!! but the ole trusty 2 stroke blender came through again mixing up 3 liters of Jose Cuervo !!! (not 3 liters of mix , thats 3 liters of tequila!Thats a lot of margaritas :0


Azbanshees bike is is running really well, props to Kenz Cycletech what ever it could not not beat Speddmns Banshee would including a bike built by Banshee Shack of Az that the bike owner had proclaimed as the fastest Banshee in AZ, well hes now got the 2nd fastest [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif[/img]

All in all it was a great weekend of duning,racing,sand drags,margaritas and beat downs. Yep the Gilbert posse represented well this weekend.

 

3 liters of jose and a 2 stroke blender..lol. good combo. How many people did that serve? I have herd people make reference to speeddemons BANSHEE thats why I asked. Anyone know the bore/stroke size?

The Sand Stars hooked up better and threw sand like crazy. Riders behind me were bummin. $150 for both tires on .190 rims at the Off Road Expo. I am very happy with them. I got the 20x10x10 size and I still weelie out of the hole in 1st and 2nd with a +3 swingarm.

 

I bought the Sand Stars at the Sand sports super show...haven't had a chance to test them out yet...now that I've read your review Blue, I can't wait to roost my friends...hehe[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif[/img]
