I was going down a steep hill in my new Bomb. Rally. All of the sudden it started making this fairly loud noise. The best way I can describe it is like if you are riding a motorcycle or go cart and the chain comes off. I stopped the vehicle, and it did not make the sound at idle, but when I revved the engine, it made the sound at about the rpm when the transmission kicks in. Does that make sense? Because the tranny doesn't kick in on this model until a certain rom is reached, I felt like it was tranny related. I rode for another couple of minutes to see what effect it had. Didn't seem to affect the ride. I turned the scooter off for several minutes, and when I turned it back on, it did not make the sound. Any ideas? Do I need to take it in and have it checked out? seems the mags said the tranny is loud on those.
