that depends on what kinds of trails youre talking about. for regular dry, open trails, its great, but for muddy trails or really tight trails its not so great. it wants to go fast, although you CAN go slow on it through some trails, the second you get to a straightaway youre in heaven.

mud will get you stuck pretty fast, for one cause the engine is too powerful and will just spin, with the stock tires that dont grip mud very well and will get covered and become useless for getting you out. twisty stuff is okay, the only thing ive ever had a problem with is REALLY twisty stuff where you start to notice the blasters wide turning radius, so sometimes you go forward, then rock it back and get a second run at it and try again. its not too bad though.

as for reverse, ive never had a problem, the only places ive ever needed it was on some trails when turning around, but thats where the lightweight of the blaster comes into play. im 16, 5'11 or so and 145lbs. the blaster only weighs 325 pounds, which is REALLY lightweight, so if i need to turn around, i just grab the read bar and lift it up and turn it around, no big deal. yes it takes longer than reverse, but why look like a wimp and just put it in gear, use some muscle! just dont hurt yourself.

now it doesnt always take longer to turn around than a quad with reverse. i was out riding on some gravel trails, they were pretty wide, so anyway, id never been there before and my friend was showing me around, so i was following him and he realized hed gone the wrong way, so he put it in reverse and backed down the way a bit and the turned and blah blah, normal turning around procedure, i just went off toward one side, gassed it hard and whipped the rear end around, lol.

anyway, the blasters not the greatest bike in the world, it not the fastest, the most capable, the most versatile, but its a really good bike for the money and it does everything ive ever asked it to with ease, and it makes almost every ride more fun, just cause its a fun bike. so have fun and i think this should be a great bike for you.

Gosh yes!!!!

There easy to pick up and move so you don't even need reverse.

Its not spinning the wheels because its so powerful (like 14hp), its spinning em cuz its a two stroke and the only power you have is a high revs. But, who needs power anywhere else? if we wanted utilites wed have bought em!

Jakal! you underestimate the blaster! try 18 wheel spinning horsepower! lol. and its not just that its a 2 stroke, its so light that it doesnt have the weight to push down on the tires to get grip, lol.

They dont have 18 a warrior has 18. If the blaster had 18 too it would blow a warrior away from the power to weight ratio. Dont feel to bad though, we both have quads that are upclassed by lawnmowers.

i dont mean to contradict you, but ive asked around and the number ive heard most is 18, with a range of 16-19 in the replies i got. remember, although its only a 200, its also a 2 stroke. and yes, my neighbors lawnmower puts out 20hp, lol.

Well I have a raptor and a blaster, and every time I go trail riding I take the blaster, if going to the sand dunes I take the raptor. You can't go wrong with the blaster when it comes to trail riding .

Darn lawnmowers. Oh well, they are rated horribly too though. A 22hp lawnmower means one at the factory with probably no air filter go really lucky and made that number after a priest blessed it. If you stuck one on a dyno you'd probably see like 8rwhp lol. Blaster probably does have about 18 or more at the crank though. Really though its engine has about equal potential as the warrior motor while being lighter and being in a lighter frame.
