the raptor I got to race against was a 2003 with FMF powerbomb header, Q muffler, K&N filter, jetted for the mods, 22 inch mudlites, geared down for the increase in tire diameter.
my banshee: recently rebuilt with stock bore wiseco pistons, k&N filter, snorkle removed, slightly bigger mainjets, stock pipes, 22 inch razrs, stock gearing.

we were on pavement and it was a 2nd gear roll on and we were side by side until about 4th gear on my banshee where I started to pull away from him and then keep on pulling in the top end. I was quite surprized with the results because from what I've read on here a piped/filtered/jetted raptor would almost destroy a banshee without pipes. Anyway, just thought I'd share my experience with you guys and you may elaborate on the subject if you want. Try to keep it sensible though, bashing is senseless if you ask me.

and most importantly...what the F was this jackass doing riding a Raptor with Mudlites on!? let alone drag racing?!

roughly same weight give or take 10 lbs, the race was long enough for both of us to get up to top speed, and I have no idea why he got the mudlites.

 

When your gradually pulling away from somone in 4th gear, skill dosent enter the equation. Its all HP.

 

he had fmf stuff...that's why he lost.
