Hello to all my new friends. Having recently sold my unimog and bought a new 03 grizzly and 04 400 kodiak for my wife i have a few questions to start with. Are brighter headlite bulbs available, and how much will the electrical system handle ?, Any known problems i should be checking on these new machines, ive already had to adjust a few things cause they werent set up properly. Also i have heard about the grizzly running hot and the mods to the side panels for 04, anything i can do? Thats it for now, thanks in advance.

Mogger

Sorry not real familiar with the Grizz, but I'm sure theres lots of guys that can help.

Just wanted to take a second to say WELCOME TO THE CLUB!

Ow and you do know how addictive ATV's are right? Thats something they don't put on the warning tags LOL. Should add the following "Warning you are going to spend an outrageous amount of money and time on your new ATV"

Hope you and your wife enjoy!
Keep the Rubber side down.

Unimogs rock! Wish I had one. Nowhere to drive it around these parts though.

welcome, and excellent choices!

I don't know if you can upgrade your bulbs or not, best thing would be to just add on some lights. I think some people us PIAA which are $$$$ but most anything should do, I guess

as far as the heat problems, get some 04 side panels and wrap your header with header wrap. I have done neither and have NEVER overheated my 02 Grizz

I think the 03's had weak front axles, so you may want to keep an eye on them, not that you can stop them from breaking.

But with all problems, not everyone gets them

just enjoy your bike!

As far as the overheating issue goes, the best thing you can do for it is to cut some slots in the side panels for ventilation and put an aftermarket exhaust and k&n for better flow. With these two, you will have no problems from the grizz even in the most severe heat.

I'm thinking about buying the last 03 Griz in my local shop. I may be asking you for advise soon. Welcome aboard.
