any problems showing up in yfz so far?

I've got a sticky tranny on mine. It sticks when shifting from 1st to 2nd. In checking other sites I found other people with like or similar problems. Their posts noted that the YZ dirt bikes had the same troubles at one point. The general consensus was a bur on the shifting drum. I'm currently trying to setup an appointment at the dealer to drop mine off for service.

They seem like they are holding up very well! Yamaha really did a good job with the R&D of this bike, I don't think any major problems are gonna show up. Especially since the engine has been used in the dirtbike for sometime now.

mines ran great since i brought her home. i do know what you mean about the burr but mine dont seem to be as bad as you make yours out to be i can hardly notice. other than that I CANT STOP PEOPLE COMING UP IN AMASMENT. is that a raptor? what is that? gets annoying.

Hmmmm it sounds like the majoity of the YFZ's so far are holding up pretty good. The problem myself and some others are having doesn't seem to large yet, but still a problem. I'd have to consider "splitting the cases" for a repair to be a major problem, afterall there's not much left to tear down at that point. Hopefully all goes well. It's under warranty, plus I have the additional warranty to boot.

the only problem i had on mine is that i lost my sprocket guard the first week and my buddy broke the whimpy grab bar and shattered the taillight cover but no problems with the tranny.

No problems what so ever. Mine has the 13:1 piston, exhaust, LS Racing +2 a-arms and +1 stem yada.. yada... yada.. In short, I'm very hard on my quad and this Yami is holding up great!
