Drove the Rhino today.....

My dealer has one, and is useing for a demo until others start coming in, first thing it was easy to drive, could not tell any difference in steering between 2 or 4.....power was really good for a 1000 lbs machine, just rode it around the dealership, but was impressed....Rep was there yesterday and said the the 35 mph limiter could be dis-abled.....seems it is limited in the clutching not ignition or carb related.......

$8499 msrp...I don't think they'll be coming off them much at least for a few month's....I heard the Grizz CDI will work on the Rhino, but according to the rep and even one of the magazines said the 35 mph limiter was not ignition related, somehow the clutches have spacer's that will block them from opening and closing all the way, thus you only get 35, take care of the clutching and it will run like it should, I don't think these things will get over 55-60 which is fast enough, the Grizz weighs 600, these weigh over 1000, so they could'nt quite as fast as a Grizz........

From another post:
"Hi, this is 01J from Yamaha and I was in charge of Rhino development for two and a half years........ the speed is advertised at 35 mph because we changed the final drive ratio as compared to the Grizz to get more low end torque......... The only parts shared with the Grizz are the engine (with different gearing), and the front diff......."
Sounds like you also battle the gearing issue inside the motor as well........is all that really worth it for 10 mph?
