New to sport. Anyways just purchase y2k 300ex about two months. I was thinking about adding a whitebros e-series pipe (silencer only) along with a jet kit and a K&N filter which I have already installed. Is the diffence in performence with the listed modifications make a big difference ( like night and day)? My main concern is more torque(for climbing hills, wheelies, and jumps) in the bottom end and mid section but I don't want to effect my top either, if possible? Any comments would be greater thankful along different recmmendations of products or parts? (If it helps I mainly go trail riding in wide open fields with lots of jumps) By the way I truly love the sport, my only problem is I can't stay off the thing?

You might want to put a header pipe on as well to maximize flow. You'll notice a difference. It won't be arm wrenching, but it will help. I currently have a DG pipe, K&N filter, and 1 size up on my main(125). This combination gives it very good low and mid range power. But the pipe is to loud. I have a Supertrapp IDS2 on the way.I wanted to try a pipe I could tune ie: diffuser discs. I can't wait to give it a try. I also run a 14 tooth counter sprocket, lid on the air box, and 20" rears. All in all I'm pleased with the overall gain in throttle response the most. For a little motor it does alright. I'll keep you posted on the new pipe when I run it, later.

Just a piece of advice, do maintenance on your ride on a regular basis. They don't take care of themselves. CHANGE THE OIL OFTEN!!!
