that is a really good deal, but i think that is a little cheap if there is more to the list, maybe there's something wrong with it, or maybe not. TEST RIDE IT AND INSPECT IT VERY GOOD BEFORE YOU BUY IT!!

Sounds like a wrecked bike to me. You'd better take a good close look at it before you put money down.

the guy might just need the money, there culd be a serious problem or it might be stolen, take a good look at it, check for BOTTOM END TICKING after it gets warm, that was the main problem with mine, along with worn top end, second gear, bent steering stem, bent bars, and he never changed the oil, thats y i got it for only $1300 s now i have to buy about $1700 worth of new stuff to make it a bad a$$ quad so makesure you check for ANY problems and if there is any, make sure you deduct it from the price he is asking, NEVER PAY THE ASKING PRICE!

it is a 99, and he said that they are all the same until 03.

the bike is a few states away and looking at it/ riding it is not an option before i buy it.
i think i will pass on it then.

thanks for the info.

The 99 is the red fendered step-child of the 400's. You could not give me one with the problems I've seen with 99's. That price is about right, but I still wouldn't do it.
