I just got my 400ex three months ago and my rear brakes are wore out. What kind should i get? How often do your brakes usually last?

I wore out 4 sets a year until I got the severe duty pads from EBC. They last a long time, but they don't have any braking power. A real crappy trade off I guess.

 

it depends. you can get ones that lasts a real long time and are great even when wet but wear out the rotor. or ones that you have to replace every couples months and don't work so good in water.

yes i think so but they are the best for stopping and if they are wet.

 

I replaced the stockers with EBC severe duty pads. Stockers didn't last very long, and my dealer had them for almost $40. Recreation Unlimited sells EBC SV for $31.04, shipping included.

I have only had these pads 2 weekends and they seem fine. When you re-intall the brake pins, it would be a good idea to coat them with anti-sieze.
