Default Warn Multi-mount system not availble on 3.0!

I need some advice please. (and yes I did a search before starting this thread, no luck)

All I could find for the Warn 3.0 winch is the standard mount (for P700). So I e-mailed Warn and they said the Multi-Mount system is just for the 2.5. Am I missing something here?? If you were going to make an accessory like that, wouldn't you figure the ones who'd buy it were the ones who opted for the bigger winch?

P650 and P700 owners - what size winch would you recommend from experience? Is a 2500 big enough for a quad as big and heavy as a P700 (loaded, with Outlaws, etc.)? Keep in mind I live in Louisiana, a state resting literally on top of 4 miles of "muck" below us (part of the reason we don't have 100 story buildings here).

P.S. the Warn A2000 is barely strong enough for my Bayou 220.

Default Warn Multi-mount system not availble on 3.0?

I just bought a P 650 4x4 and got the Warn 2500 winch and mounting kit that works on the 2500 or the 3000. I am trying to install it and it is eating my lunch right now. Talk to a ATV repair shop and the say get a bumper. I have already spend 7K, didnt want to spend anymore !!

Good Luck..

I bought one after I talked to them. The only difference is the carrier that the winch bolts to.
All you need to do is bend one end of the carrier down in a vise. It curves up for a handle, so when
it is bent down, it works fine. There are two things that the multimount doesn't do well. One, when
you have been in mud or are in mud, the winch is hard to pull out or insert in the reciever. Also, the
wire quick-disconnect does not always make a good connection, or it can crack. I do like to keep
the winch on the back of my P650. I may mount a 2500 on the front, too.
If I was you, I would get it and modify, like I did. Piece of cake....
