Default I need your help guys.

I need to get some more power out of my Raptor, but I have couple of things that limit my decisions .

I can't have any good porting job done to my raptor since I live way too far from the US (UAE) and the shops here are new to raptors. I will be taking my chances by giving the bike to a shop I know to do some porting done to it.

Here is what I had on mind.

- Raptor JE pistons (not sure which one to get, 11.1 or 12.1, and should I go with 102 or 105 bore)??????? I want to be able to use regular gas (92-97) and if I go with the big bore, how much power will I be gaining over the 102 bore. and will I need additional parts to use the 105 bore over the 102, or it's just a boring kindda work.
- Hot Cams stage 2
- Kibblewhite valve springs (dual rate springs)
- Ferrea valves stock size, should I get these, or the gains just not worth the money????????
- Heavy duty head gaskets for whatever bore I go with
- GYTR Billet clutch basket (should I also go with GYTR Billet clutch pressure plate) I am planning to stay NA

I already have FMF pipe, pro filter.

Am I missing anything here????? and what kind of gains do you guys think I will see???

Thanks

Abu Dhabi? Thats cool

If you want pump gas keep the compression within reason(11;1)
That stage II cam works realy well
I had a similar set-up with no porting and it ran hard
I think I'd leave the stock valves alone unless you go bigger(I wouldn't recomend)

With the set-up you have in mind you should have a strong running machine with great reliability

thanks a lot guys. I will then go ahead and order the stuff. a couple of more questions tho.

- I should get the stock bore pistons (102) right? 11.1 if I want to run pump gas. right?
- how about the clutch, what can I do to make it hold the additional power? will the clutch basket alone do, or I have to get the pressure plate?
- finally, what size jets you guys think I should be running, just a base line is all what I want. I am now running 150/155 with pipe, pro filter led on.

thanks again, you guys are great.

Hope you're still checking this forum.....most likely you'll have to rejet. I'd suggest buying several sizes from 155 to 170 and just play around with them. Also, are you running a modified air box? If not, cut out the vanes inside the air intake hose in front of the carbs, and drill several 1/2 inch holes in the top of the cover, unless you ride in water alot. Change the jets one size at a time and play around with it. When it starts to run worse, back off a size. That should get you really close. Have fun!

I would stay with the stock valves unless they need to be replaced. Get an air filter kit and run with the lid off or use an adapter like I have and get rid of the air box and jet up to 185/190 mains and 25 pilots.
I would put in a GYT-R clutch kit after you break in the engine with the new parts.

100mm is stock bore.......but I would go with the 102MM no matter what compression you use......

With a 2mm additional bore, power gain will be negligable...+ a 2mm bore will be at least twice as expensive as a standard bore. Stage 1 Hotcam and 10.75/1 JE piston is inexpensive and a big gain in power that runs premium pump gas....hard too beat this set-up. If you have extra cash and are not worried about the additional valvetrain wear the stiffer springs bring to the table....then more cam is in order.

thanks to all of you guys.
I finally made up my mind, well after the help of you guys and the big help/support I got From Bob and craycraft. he is a great guy.

here is what it's gotten down to.

- JE 11.1 JE 102 MM (not the stock bore, thanks to Bob)
- hotcam stage 2 along with the needed valve springs.
- GYTR clutch set along with the needed gasket
- heavy duty head gasket set

here what I plan to do.

I will go ahead and have the head ported and polished.
run with no LED, and drill a 4"-5" hole in the back of the air box. I will start jetting with maybe 185/190 with stock needle and go from there.

my next step would be a +4" swingarm, and maybe lay low for a bit b4 the wife gets too pissed

thanks again to you guys
