Oil change...how often?
#1
I have a 03' Warrior and 04' Raptor. I typically ride 2 to 4 ours a week give or take. I have gotten conflicting reports on how often to change the oil and filter. Any thoughts?
Also, I may be wrong but I am assuming the Raptor needs the oil changed more often because it has larger displacement, higher reving, 5-valves and it carries less oil than the Warrior.

Check your oil often, Change it when it breaks down... There is no set time or how many rides. Change it when it is ready to be changed. And always change the oil filter...... And Never ever run a kevlar clutch in a wet clutch system..... ever......

The Wolv gets a change .... oh .... once a year? It never looks too bad when I change it so I don't think it is a problem. In fact, if I never changed it, it would probly still be ok. They are just tough as nails.
The Cannondale will be a different story, for a different kind of quad. Every 10 hours or after every race will be the rule of thumb for me in that one.
You can't generalize too much. Every quad needs something a little different.
