I am thinking of ordering a set of Works Performance front shocks from Dennis Kirk. They do not have the remote reservoirs. For 304.00 is it worth it? Do the shocks perform good for hard trail riding? Also what does the reservoir do? Also, at the same time I think I am going to get a set of Maxxis Razr Rear tires!

Had a pair of works shocks on my 300ex and loved them way over stock night and day difference. I would order the cans if you ride alot on tracks or ride for an extended period of time and if you ride mainly in a hot climate. The say you don't need them for just messing around but why not spend 50$ more and never need to find out if you needed them or not.

If you are just going to trail ride, you can get by witout the resivors. After riding hard for about 20 or 30 min the oil will heat up and the shock action will fade. The resovers will keep the oil cooler. If you have the money get them.

Well I think I am going to go with the cans. I can get just the shocks for around 300 or the shocks with the cans for around 450. Where else would a good place be to buy them? Dennis Kirk only offers them as shocks only.
