Default 01 wolverine spitten and sputtering

Have a 01 wolverine w/ megamaxx, k&n filter, and tourque stuffer, 150 mains and it has really begun to spit and hicupp, especially at low rpm, it almost blows the carb off.!! The plug is showing a fairly lean condition, but the needle is set all rich and 3 sizes bigger on main. I realy noticed it after installing the stuffer, any ideas???

if its intermittent check the parking brake sensor at the left hand brake. sometimes they dont get pulled in enough to open the switch.

How does it do at high RPM? That is a fairly LARGE main for a Stock motor wolverine, and I dont think you should be that rich on the needle either.

007 is correct, check that parking brake rev limiter. Move the lever around and see if it helps.

The 150 main could be right, but the clip in the 4th notch is about as rich as you should need. If your problem persists, might try dropping the carb bowl to check for dirt or water.

Its not the rev lim on brake, as the engine warms it gets better, and I know it is lean via white plug, there is alot of back pressure coming out of carb into air box.

Just a thought..... thoroughly check the rubber intake manifold, they can crack and cause a lean condition.

Thats what I was thinking Lotus. Kinda sounds like an intake leak to me.

a 150 sounds too big for your mods to be honest with you. I have a 446 and im at 155 - 160. But my carb is a lttle different too, but I have also had the cracked intake manifold, you should check that out. I believe its about $30.
