1980's MOTO 4 help!
#1
I have just bought a 1980's (don't know year for sure) Yamaha MOTO 4 200cc 2x4 4wheeler. I have been working on it and it runs great, but, it gets a little hot after a while of running it and I was wondering if there was a way I could richen/lean the motor somehow? And also, I was wondering, where is the air filter on this engine? I can't seem to find it anywhere. I have changed the oil, not the oil filter yet (stripped one screw to the cover), primered the four wheeler for new paint, and am getting a new exhaust and new foot bars. Where would be the best place to get ATV Accessories (Off of the internet or in Stores)? thanks for you help in advance!
P.S. - If it will help you find the year, I have these numbers off of the engine --- 21V00 -- 1500cm3 -- 196cm3 .

Try buying some Atv Magazines, they are always filled with ATV performance Websites. Was curious why you chose a Moto4? Justwondering. We have a Ol' Moto4 in the Garage im not sure if its the same kind as yours. Maybe tomorrow ill go look for the air filter f i can remember.

i had one '89 model... it run hot till i got a Cobra Megaphone rejetted and got a Moose filter, somehow it seemed to help... as far as ur filter question go to the back under the grab bar and ull see a lil box with 4 screws holding a cover on... take out the screws and pop the cover off and there it is.
